About the Extra Special Showcase

Parker Mednikow and Josie Todd, each with special needs siblings, teamed up in 2022 to create a magical experience: a display of talent by people with special needs, not emphasizing competition, but camaraderie and joy.

After coordinating with Mid-South Fair executives, contacting special needs centers, designing registration forms, and planning the show down to the last cue, the duo launched the first Extra Special Showcase on September 28th, 2022. The program only grew from there.

The Fourth Annual Extra Special Showcase was October 1, 2025, and the 2026 event will return in late September or early October, dates to be announced. All are welcome. Please come celebrate with us!
